Mission Statement:
Flatwoods Baptist Weekday Education Program is devoted to providing quality care to children based on their particular developmental levels. Units and activities are planned by the teachers to be age-appropriate and interesting to children. Flatwoods Baptist CWE Program is a Christian environment and is committed to assisting parents in the total training and growth of each child. Children sing songs about the Christian faith and salvation. The Pledge of allegiance to the United States flag, as well as the Pledge to the Christian flag and to the Bible are used. We are exempt from being licensed by the State of Alabama Department of Human Resources. Minimum standards are available in the director's office for any person or guardian to view. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to love and nurture your child.
Our Child Care Center:
- We are a Christ-centered Child Care Facility
- We teach Daily Bible Stories
- We have Daily Prayer
- We have Thursday Chapel
- We provide a Hot Lunch (Menu posted CWE Bulletin Board)
- We participate in a yearly Saint Jude's Trike-a-Thon
Our Curriculum:
We use the A-Beka Curriculum which is derived and taught at Pensacola Christian College. Pensacola Christian College has an onsite day care center, elementary school, middle school, high school and college that incorporates the A-Beka program. Our teachers know hands on that this program is very helpful in teaching children.
Programs:
We have two programs a year in which our children participate. When your child is two years old, he/she will participate in our Christmas program and our End-of-the-Year Program. When your child has completed the K4 program, he/she will participate in a Cap and Gown Ceremony.
Thursday is Chapel Day. We say the Pledges and sing the National Anthem, Jesus Loves the Little Children, and the B-I-B-L-E.
